On Saturday 18 August a team of 36 cyclists defied the heat and rode from London to Brighton to raise money for UNICEF.
They were warming up for Wheels for Change, a sponsored bike ride from Paris to Milan.
Despite the blistering heat and the challenging Olympic-inspired route via the famous zig zag road at Boxhill, the cyclists enjoyed the day and raised vital funds for the world’s most vulnerable children.
The ride is part of the Wheels for Change fundraiser by cyclists from the Barclays legal and compliance team and their sponsors. This year, Wheels for Change will start in Paris and cyclists will ride the 600km through the Alps to Milan.
The money raised by Wheels for Change will help give children a good start in life. It'll provide vaccines, give 10-year-olds the chance to go to secondary school, and equip young people with skills for work. Wheels for Change will put thousands of children on the right road to a stronger future.
