This month’s inspirational fundraiser is Patrick Ward (more commonly known as Patch), who is running the BUPA 10K to raise money and create awareness for UNICEF’s important work for children across the globe.

Patch currently works in the Public Fundraising team as an events intern and felt inspired to enter the race as he is coming to the end of his internship.

When asked why he signed up he said: "After working so closely with runners and assisting them in the event I felt that the BUPA 10K would be a great opportunity to end my internship on a high and inspire my friends and family to donate and participate!"

Patch has almost hit his sponsorship target of £350 and reached 79% with over a month left until the event. We asked him how he approached his fundraising when he signed up.

"The most important feature of my fundraising effort was the web page. My online fundraising page had to be as informative and detailed as possible so that when people visited they would acknowledge how important the challenge is for me and for children who receive the donations."

This page is our chance to feature amazing fundraisers who've gone the extra mile to help us, and your chance to tell us about how you've raised money for UNICEF.

Every single donation and fundraising effort makes a difference to the world's children and we value all our supporters enormously.

If you have a fundraising story that you'd like to tell us about, why not get in touch at fundraisinghelp@unicef.org.uk

We'd love to hear from you. You might feature here or on our facebook page.

UNICEF is entirely funded by voluntary contributions, so when we say we couldn't do it without you, we really mean it!

If you fancy a challenge why not take a look at our fundraising pages.

Why not see if your efforts can make you our supporter of the month?
